Home Remedies

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera contains aloin, a natural depigmenting compound that helps lighten dark spots. Apply fresh aloe vera gel directly to the pigmented areas before bedtime and rinse off in the morning. Use daily for visible results.

Licorice Extract

Rich in glabridin, licorice extract inhibits melanin production and reduces inflammation. Use creams or serums containing licorice extract, or apply a diluted form to affected areas twice a day.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help fade pigmentation. Brew green tea, cool it, and apply using a cotton ball to dark spots. Repeat twice daily.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Contains acetic acid which mildly exfoliates and helps lighten pigmentation. Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water, apply with a cotton pad, leave on for 2–3 minutes, then rinse off. Use once daily.

Turmeric Paste

Curcumin in turmeric helps reduce melanin production and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. Make a paste with turmeric and milk or yogurt, apply to the skin, and leave for 15–20 minutes before washing off. Use 2–3 times a week.

Potato Slices or Juice

Potatoes contain natural enzymes and catecholase that can lighten dark spots. Rub a thin slice of raw potato or apply the juice directly to the skin for 15–20 minutes, then rinse. Use daily.
